It seems safe to suggest that no-one wants hundreds or thousands of bed bugs running around their bed and home.

This leads us on to the question of how to get rid of them. The first thing to do is remove and clean the bedding. You could also do a thorough check of the mattress, for signs of bugs.

After this you should clean all the area around the bed, especially the nooks and crannies where horrible little blood-suckers could be hiding.

Vacuum and clean the bedroom as thoroughly as possible and repeat the whole process if you need to. A clearer and less cluttered bedroom will also help you to keep the bed bugs out of it. You will find more advice on this video.

As for how to get rid of bed bug bites on your body, an over the counter medication for itches can provide immediate relief. Calamine lotion and anti allergy tablets can also help. The symptoms of bed bugs will probably go away if you do this.
